Curatorial Approach

Four artists, two performances, one exhibition, one multi-media performance, one festival. ‘Process at Play’ features the work of four emerging artists who all work in different mediums, Low(ree) Jones (contemporary dance), Sticky-Tape Theatre, Joanna Wood (painter) and Marcus Lilley (multi-media artist) The work of these four artists sits central in the festival whilst in the gallery, and in the run up to the festival, the processes behind the creation of these very different works is revealed. Documentation that uncovers the differences and similarities in the creative process involved in the inception and realisation of the art works.

‘Process at Play’ is a festival curated by 6 LICA (Lancaster Institute for the Contemporary Arts) MA Students and is being held at the Peter Scott Gallery and Nuffield Theatre Theatre at Live at LICA from Monday 12th till Friday 16th September.
